The last Sunday, I successfully finished my first full marathon race. I really have no experience ever to such an exciting and impressive race. It should be likely to very fantastic drama to make me and every runner in the worldwide happy.
Until 5km, the road was completely filled with a tremendous number of runners. But, I had a steady head and was not overwhelmed the unique racing mood. I kept my calm and checked my running form. I readily recognized the position of landing foot located ahead of gravity center. I quickly fixed the lean posture and landing position, and mentally focused on pulling as you suggested. I tried to increase cadence to make sustaining more compact form.
As shown in lap time, until 35km, there was no accident. Energy and water supply was almost perfect. I really enjoyed, relaxed and fitted perfectly into the landscape. Everything was perfect to 35km location.
However, as you expected, my brain gradually failed to control the body from 35km area. I tried my best to concentrate on pulling. Unfortunately, my hamstring and quadriceps got harder, leading to be unable to pulling the leg. I was not shaken in this condition and performed stretching, but the leg was almost uncontrolled. I felt severe acute pain on my left IT band. The remained distance was seemed likely to very far. But I did not give up and finished the race. I also tried my best to sustain smile. But this effort leads to spasm of facial muscles. Anyway, the race was happily finished. I worried about the inflammation of my IT band, but fortunately nothing happened.
Thank you very much for your helpful advice and encouragement. If I had not found your fantastic running form leading to Pose methods, I failed to complete this full marathon race.
